We began Claude & Co’s journey to provide a new take on unisex clothing for children. With a mission to showcase considered designs for babies and toddlers, to grow with them and be passed on.
The most likely thing is, if you know Claude & Co, you’ll know us for ‘Milking It’. Rightly so, it’s our iconic trademark slogan and really has become the core of our being, we are milking it at every opportunity. We are growing fast alongside that core, stretching out into new territories, and enjoying the ever-changing world of Claude.
We have always been, and will always be - a unisex seasonless, and premium organic brand. That means, our collections are intentionally designed to all work together, there are no general trend-led decisions, and we always create designs with no gender in mind whilst also wanting to have fun and make stylish creations that can be loved.
Our baby bodysuits and onesies start from new born size and our unisex kids clothing goes up to age 5, with a generous oversized fit.
Alongside this we strive to not make a negative impact on the world through our clothing, learning as we go and grow. We are doing our best to rise above the greenwashing and ensure that as a small brand we take responsibility for our stamp and what we can be doing better, and what we are doing well. We believe how we function is a more natural process for a brand, especially for a baby and children's clothing brand, and we love it that way.
For transparency, we only source & work with Organic Cotton, where possible GOTs certified, and always with trusted partners. We manufacture in small batches, which means sometimes we might run out of stock and be waiting for a new batch to arrive. But we would rather it that way than create a lot of waste through excessive stock.
We work with small retailers around the world, but do not encourage markdowns where possible. Our clothing is not a one-season wonder. No way. It’s built to last and be loved for a long time.
I’m Abi, the founder and creative mind behind Claude & Co. I started the business in 2016, after my career in buying for a large retailer wasn’t fulfilling my needs and I craved a new challenge and direction built for myself. Cut forward to six years+ and here we are, growing stronger by the day and challenging me in a way I never knew possible.
The team has grown, the range has grown, and our core has remained the same if not stronger. I am really so excited about what Claude brings to the market of Childrenswear and I hope we offer clothing and a company that you want to be part of, that feels considered for you or whomever you might be buying for. My aim is always to deliver that you feel the same excitement I do when we are designing and building the range, the brand, the packaging, and the website - all the touch points show you how much passion goes into this brand.
Oh - and Claude was the name of the cat. In case you wondered.
