Something fun to tell you about.
We will be featured on the new ITV prime time series, 'Give It A Year' with Baroness Karren Brady. The show started on Monday the 16th of April at 8pm.
Our episode airs on the 7th of May, which we are very excited to see.
When the opportunity arose to be filmed for the year with Claude and Co I jumped at it! It was a fantastic experience, whilst sometimes being extremely challenging.
Anyone in their first year of business (which I am sure a lot of you might be) are suddenly thrown into a world that not a lot know about. I was very skilled in the areas I had worked in - buying the products, the eye for detail, the love of design. But what I was not so prepared for - the accounting, the systems, the website, the marketing - all have been a steep learning curve. You have to play all roles - from the cleaner, the printer fixer, packing the parcels, whilst making big decisions about the direction and future of your company and it's survival.
Meeting Karren Brady and having her genuine interest and advice on Claude and Co was wonderful. We were filmed over lots of occasions during the year - which I hope a lot will be squeezed in, as it will fly by in 10 minutes! I really hope that my passion and love for the company and clothing brand comes across.
